Here we were again. The excuse this time was to pick up Laura after
her. great experience working at one of
the best places in town as well as
improving her English ( which we have to
say has improved a lot and has felt very welcomed ) . However, all the
excuses are good to come back to Canada, where we feel like home and can spend
time with our Canadian families the Scotts and the Morrows.
This time we have had the opportunity to
discover very different National Parks, not only in Canada but also in the
United States.
We visited Glacier National Park which is
full of wildlife , especially bears. After that, we visited Yellowstone, the
best known National Park in our childhood thanks to the Yogui Bear cartoons (
unfortunately no trace of him ) . The bubbling and the colours of the pools and
springs , the boiling. waters of its great amount of geysers and its wildlife , is a thing we'll
always have in our minds. Can you imagine traffic jams due to bisons or
prohorns? For us the bad point were just the crowds. The Tetons National Park
although it is not a very big Park has
two very different parts, an alpine scenery and the prairies.
We also could learn a bit more about Native
Americans and have fun with the rodeos.
On the way back "home", we
stopped at beautiful BC which has offered lakes to swim, trails to hike and
excellent fruit to eat.
Thank you for being such great hosts.
Thanks to Stefan for finding Laura a job
and always transmitting happiness . To Lesley for being
not only a great host but also for the evening chats with Laura and helping her
to become independent and for hosting all the family as well as going
sightseeing with us. Thanks to Adam and family for organizing such a huge
meals. And thanks to Andrea to make Laura feel more like a sister than a friend
, for taking care oh her, hanging
out and going shopping with her ( she
learnt so much that after some days she did it on her own!!).
All of us have had a great time we
appreciate everything you have done and you know you have a home in Vic.
Hope we Can travel next summer again to one
of the breathtaking places the world offers.
Big Hugs.
